Over the Summer months CRS takes a break from our regular activities program.

            Instead we offer a fun and challenging selection of Day Activities and Dare Devil sessions. Take a look below:

     24th May to 1st June

Unique to River Dart Adventures, Dare Devils are instructor supervised adventures activities. These activities are at an extra cost are operated by CRS Adventures Ltd and include:

• Indoor Climbing and Bouldering Wall – 220 sq meters of safe modern undercover fun. Children under 8 to be supervised by an adult. (3 tokens per day).
• Canoeing – On our lake in Red Indian type canoes. Safety equipment provided for 30 minutes of wet fun. With a capacity of up to 3 persons, what can go wrong ?! (7 tokens per boat and equipment for up to 3 persons)
• Mega Zip Wire – harness up and jump from a 15m high tree top platform down 80m long wire! (3 tokens per go)
• Commando Abseil - New for 2008 - Safely abseil from 15m platform to the ground, controlling your own speed of descent! (3 tokens per go)
• High Ropes Course – A fun and exciting tree top challenge, unique to Devon. 14 elements that test your nerve and confidence. Takes about 45 minutes to complete. All safety equipment provided. Height restriction applies. (9 tokens per go).

Dare Devils run everyday from 24th May to 1st June, and new for 2008 some, if not all activities will run Saturdays and Sundays from **7th June to 6th July and 6th September to 28th September. Summer holidays - every day from 12th July to 31st August inclusive.

Tokens costing £1 each can be purchased from CRS Reception. Unused tokens can be refunded. Age and height restrictions apply on some activities, but generally 7 years and above can participate. CRS Instructors have absolute discretion in whether an individual can participate.

     21st July - 22nd August

If you relish a challenge, CRS Adventures offer a day rock climbing and abseiling on and around Dartmoor, a day out in an open boat canoe on the beautiful Dart Estuary and new for 2008, a day down one of our local caves.

Led by qualified Instructors from CRS Adventures, these activities are for any member of the family aged 9 years and over. Children can take part unaccompanied by parents or join in and make a family day out!

These activities run on weekdays commencing Monday 21st July and finishing Friday 22nd August. Pre-booking is essential as only three groups of 8 persons can participate each day, with one group canoeing, one group climbing and one group caving.

Book and pay direct with CRS Adventures. Cost is £30 per person per day including transport and all safety equipment. Please bring packed lunch and wear old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and stained for caving!

Note. All outdoor activities involve potential hazards – full disclosure of our risk management arrangements (reviewed January 2008) are shown on our website and will be sent to you on booking, including a medical and declaration form (one for each adult & child) which must be completed and handed in to reception on the day of your session.
